Melanie Northup, OTR Director of Sterling Hand Clinic
Graduated from CSU 1983 with bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy
Worked at Fort Morgan Community Hospital for 2 years, SRMC for 8 years as a rehab OT with specialties in stroke rehab, arthritis care, neurologic disorders, cardiac rehab and pediatrics
Currently employed at McDonald and Keil Physical Therapy as director of Sterling Hand Clinic. Specialty areas are elbow and hand orthopedics, home health care and nursing home carried. Therapeutic interests are arthritis, stroke recovery, hand/elbow injuries.
Married to Gary Northup with 4 adult children. Involved in 4-H, church and family activities
Candace McNear OTR, Licensed
Graduated from CSU in 1981 with a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy.
Worked in Greeley and Sterling Public Schools as pediatric occupational therapist ages 3 through 21 years.
Worked at SRMC for 8 years with pediatrics ages 0 to 12 years
Currently employed by McDonald and Keil Physical therapy and Sterling Hand Clinic
Doing nursing home and home health therapy.
Married to husband Tim McNear with 3 adult children
Therapeutic interests are stroke recovery, autism spectrum disorders and feeding disorders
Kali Keil, MPT
Attended school in Broken Bow NE
Attended Chadron State College for undergraduate work
Then to University of Nebraska Medical Center for physical therapy school.
Started working at McDonald and Keil Physical Therapy in 1997 upon graduation from PT School. Married to Shane Keil Physical Therapist
Kail and Shane have 2 children, Carter and Jackson.
Interest and hobbies are attending the boys’ activities, assisting with coaching and helping with local athletic teams, attending church and Bible studies. Enjoys running and staying active in local high school sports and community activities.
Enjoys getting to know patients and helping them rehabilitate from injuries and accidents to return to a healthy lifestyle.
Shane Keil, MPT OCS
Attended high school: Chase County High School in Imperial, Nebraska and was active in multiple sports.
Graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1994.
Graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center with a masters degree in physical therapy in 19947
Joined Mark McDonald Physical Therapy in 1997.
Further education: Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2001.
Hobbies/Interest: Enjoys following high school athletes, coaching the teams his boys are involved in.
Married to Kali Keil. Two boys Carter and Jackson.
